It's difficult for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

Finally, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy getting a platform to create her most recent brilliance.

"An opportunity to play and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was out her side required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship need to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this victory succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.
