Barça Ready for Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
