One-time economic leader Lawrence Summers is exiting the governing body at the artificial intelligence firm, just days after a batch of digital correspondence between him and deceased financier the accused trafficker became widely known.
He commented in a statement that he was "grateful for the privilege to have contributed, excited about the promise of the enterprise, and look forward observing their development".
Summers, who formerly led the prestigious university, stated on recently that he would be stepping back from public roles due to his relationship with Epstein.
