Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
