The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
