The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star maintains considerable online following
Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent backers as she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates multiple courses worldwide and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has played in just three tournaments this year and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
But she can get advice from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to the flow."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai exposes golf to wider groups, specifically reaching the next generation.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and has started her own fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
