The Initial Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content on PS5 topics for the first time. The past year represented a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox still intends to draw people in with compelling titles on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
A pair of titles that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — transforming them into perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
