The Red Devils Set to Sign German Forward Lea Schüller from the Bavarian Giants
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany striker Lea Schüller on a permanent transfer from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Major Signing for the WSL Side
The forward, with half a year remaining on her deal, is known as a consistent goal-getter for her club and the national team. Having netted over 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for her country. Her arrival is viewed as a marquee coup for the WSL team.
Departure from Bayern has been anticipated after she was seen fighting back tears while thanking the German club’s supporters following a win over Bayer Leverkusen this month.
It was reported in late December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its leading forwards. According to reports, all the paperwork for the move have now been completed.
Consistent Goal Threat to Strengthen United's Forward Line
The 28-year-old’s arrival is expected to provide a significant boost to United’s forward line. Schüller has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in the Bundesliga.
