The Streaming Giant Chooses Perfect Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. The role can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, differing from the original manga and cartoon version.
Escola is joined by a number of new cast members tasked with bringing the group to reality, including chief Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.
Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could signal more adjustments to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The platform’s adapted One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
